Kingdom of the Puma

Kingdom of the Puma

Duration: 4/8 hours
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
*Available soon

More than a wildlife sighting experience, this excursion invites you to interpret the landscape and better understand the presence of the puma in its natural habitat. Aboard a buggy, you will explore different areas of the reserve in search of tracks, learn about guanaco behavior, and identify signs that reveal the presence of this elusive feline. When conditions call for it, such as a recent track or sighting, short walks of up to 40 minutes may be undertaken to approach the observation area.

The destination of each outing is determined by the expert guides based on their assessment of recent puma activity within the reserve. There are three possible routes: the Lake Nordenskjöld sector or the Cerro Paine sector, both offered as half-day excursions, and the Serón sector, explored as a full-day experience.

Departures take place at sunrise and sunset, key times for wildlife observation. Guests must always maintain the minimum distance recommended by the guide to avoid disturbing the puma’s behavior or interfering with the natural dynamics of the environment.

All our excursions are exclusively available to guests of Hotel Las Torres.
