To mark World Photography Day, Las Torres Patagonia invites travelers and trekking enthusiasts from around the world to share their best images in nature. The winner will receive an experience for two to trek the W Circuit in Torres del Paine.

Torres del Paine, August 19, 2026 – For the third year, Las Torres Patagonia is launching its international photography contest, this time under the theme “Your Best Trekking Moments!” The initiative invites travelers and trekking lovers to share images that capture the moments, landscapes and encounters that make a journey on foot worth remembering. The winner and a companion will get to experience a W Journey, Las Torres Patagonia’s new guided trekking program along the W Circuit over five days and four nights.

The contest runs from August 19 to September 2, 2026, and welcomes photographs taken during outdoor trekking experiences, whether in Chile or anywhere else in the world.

An invitation to capture the trail

Landscapes, moments with nature, people walking a path, or small details discovered along the way can all be part of the contest. Images may be taken with either a camera or a mobile phone, with the emphasis on the photographer’s eye and their ability to convey the experience of the journey.

To take part, entrants must follow @LasTorres.Patagonia on Instagram, post their image on the platform using the hashtag #WJourney, and note where it was taken. Accounts must remain public throughout the contest.

A jury with perspectives from Chile and the world

The photographs will be judged by a panel of three professionals connected to photography, travel and nature: Rodrigo Guendelman, a Chilean journalist and founder of Santiago Adicto and Chile Adicto; Hannah Rheaume, an American photographer specializing in nature, wildlife and conservation; and Nick Savage, an American travel journalist focused on adventure and the outdoors.

The jury will assess the images on their creativity and originality, their connection to the contest theme and, above all, their ability to tell a story, convey emotion and capture a special moment in nature.

A journey along the W Circuit

The winner and a companion will be able to experience a W Journey, Las Torres Patagonia’s new guided program for trekking the W Circuit: a five-day route through one of Patagonia’s most recognized trails, among mountains, forests, lakes and some of the park’s most iconic landscapes.

“Every trek leaves behind moments worth remembering and sharing. With this contest, we want to celebrate those experiences and inspire more people to connect with nature. Whoever wins will get to experience our new W Journey program, a more comfortable and inspiring way to walk one of the most famous trekking circuits in the world,” says Juan López, Commercial Manager at Las Torres Patagonia.

The route unfolds over five days and four nights, with all the logistics taken care of so guests can enjoy the experience from start to finish: accommodation in a fully equipped campsite, all meals included, a bilingual host guiding each day, private transfers between Puerto Natales and the park, park entrance fees, and a catamaran crossing on Lake Pehoé, among other services.

The prize can be redeemed in October 2026 or April 2027, subject to the conditions set out in the contest terms. The winning photograph will be announced on September 4, 2026.

With Your Best Trekking Moments, Las Torres Patagonia aims to champion photography as a way to preserve and share the stories born on the trail, inviting those who love trekking to look again at their own journeys and choose the single moment that captures everything they lived.
