May 8, 2026. More than 200 guests attended this Thursday’s edition of the annual gathering organized by Las Torres Patagonia alongside tour operators and key players in the tourism industry. This event has established itself as one of the primary networking and innovation showcase spaces for the upcoming high season in Chilean Patagonia.
The activity, developed under the concept “The Evolution of Origin,” marked the third edition of this event, which aims to recognize the important work that tour operators do in promoting and commercializing Chile as a tourism destination, especially in international markets.
During the event, Las Torres Patagonia—a natural and cultural reserve located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, with a deep tradition and roots in Chilean Patagonia—presented the main projects and initiatives that will define the 2026/2027 season. The presentation highlighted the brand’s ongoing evolution and its value proposition, combining tourism experience, Patagonian identity, sustainability, conservation, and new infrastructure, while always maintaining its essence and profound connection with the Patagonian territory.
Among the major announcements was the development of a new approximately 2,000 square-meter restaurant inspired by traditional Patagonian barns. This project is part of Las Torres Patagonia’s transformation process, designed to strengthen an experience increasingly connected with the territory, local culture, and conservation. The new space will also feature the future southernmost wine tasting room in the world.
Additionally, updates were shared regarding tourism infrastructure, new visitor experiences, hospitality improvements, and various sustainability and conservation initiatives at Torres del Paine. These efforts reinforce the company’s position as one of South America’s leading nature tourism and premium experience references in Chile.
In this regard, the event highlighted some of the most significant achievements recently driven by Las Torres Patagonia in terms of conservation and climate action, including the inauguration of the first section of the Base Torres trail reconstruction—Chile’s most-traveled hiking route. This initiative is aimed at protecting and restoring one of the country’s most iconic circuits through sustainable infrastructure and responsible visitor management.
During the event, a video was also screened showcasing the ten most representative actions developed by the company in sustainability, conservation, and connection with the territory, reflecting the approach currently driving the brand’s evolution and its link to Chilean Patagonia.
During this edition of the gathering, the company held, for the first time, the “Las Torres Patagonia Awards”—a recognition created to highlight the most outstanding tour operators in various categories, highlighting the collaborative work and contributions they make to strengthening and promoting the international reach of the Patagonia destination.
In this context, Juan López, Sales and Marketing Director of Las Torres Patagonia, stated that “this evolution that Las Torres Patagonia is undergoing seeks to project an increasingly authentic, sophisticated experience connected with our surroundings. We want to continue positioning Chilean Patagonia as a world-class destination, but doing so responsibly, placing sustainability and conservation at the center of our development.”
He also added that “today, sustainability and conservation are central to how we understand tourism development in Patagonia. Our challenge is to continue growing and offering world-class experiences, but always doing so responsibly, with a profound connection to the territory and concrete actions in environmental and climate matters.”
The gathering also strengthened ties with key players in the national and international tourism ecosystem, in a context where Patagonia continues to consolidate itself as one of the most valued destinations for long-distance travelers and high-interest tourism.
From the organization, they highlighted that these types of instances allow for projecting the growth of Chile’s tourism industry based on public-private collaboration, innovation, and an increasingly sophisticated and sustainable offering, capable of responding to new global tourism trends.
