Torres del Paine, August 16, 2024 – Las Torres Patagonia continues to fine-tune the details of what will be its 2024-2025 season. Along with remodeled rooms at Hotel Las Torres, new sustainability projects and the continuation of the reconstruction of the trail to Base Torres, the company will add new leadership to its management team.

As of September 1, 2024, Paula Valdés, a professional with more than 20 years in the tourism industry, will take over as resident manager of Hotel Las Torres, leading the various teams responsible for hospitality and guest experience.

Paula Valdés has extensive experience in inbound tourism destinations, managing luxury resorts, leading multidisciplinary teams and working with local communities and authorities. Part of her work focus has also been caring for the environment and generating unforgettable experiences for clients of multiple nationalities.

The new manager of Hotel Las Torres has developed an extensive career that began in 1998 as a tour guide at Explora Atacama, specializing in bird watching and local culture. Her outstanding performance led to her promotion to team leader, assuming responsibility for the explorations area. In this role, she was in charge of assisting guests in the selection of their itineraries, developing the team of guides, planning the logistics of excursions and designing new experiences.

Continuing with her career, in 2006 she assumed the position of assistant manager and excursions manager at Hotel Awasi Atacama, and then continued to grow professionally and accepted the challenge of leading the excursions department and assistant manager at Hotel Tierra Atacama. Finally, her outstanding career led her to become hotel manager at Hotel Tierra Patagonia in 2013.
