Torres del Paine National Park, August 19, 2024. In commemoration of International Photography Day, Las Torres Patagonia, the Patagonian company located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, will celebrate a second edition of the competition that seeks to award the best portraits of the park’s natural wonders.
The first annual #TorresDelPaineSnapshot in 2023 gathered about 500 photographers from all over the world. The winner was a participant from Germany, who won an All-Inclusive stay at our hotel to continue capturing the beautiful landscapes of this iconic park.
For this year’s contest, Las Torres Patagonia has decided to focus the contest on one of the most important attractions of the park: Base Torres Viewpoint. This theme seeks to highlight the eighth wonder of the world and show the different moments captured by visitors over the years.
How to participate? To take part in this contest, you just have to post one or more photos on a public Instagram account. The picture must have been taken at Base Torres viewpoint and the publication must have the #TorresdelPaineSnapshot 2024 hashtag, and you are in! Photographers must be over 18 years old and can come from all over the world.
The photos must be submitted between Monday, August 19, starting at 00:00 hours and Monday, September 2, 2024, until 23:59 hours.
There will be a jury chaired by the renowned photographer and filmmaker Timothy Dhalleine. He will select the five finalists of the contest, who will be announced on September 5, and finally the winner will be announced on Friday, September 6.
Juan López, Sales and Marketing Manager of Las Torres Patagonia, welcomed this new edition of the contest that has “provided a space to share memories and adventures in Torres del Paine,” and also adds that “we’re looking forward to receiving photos from our visitors from all over the world and to continue spreading the word about this impressive, landmark destination in Chile, Base Torres viewpoint.”
