First Photography Contest in Las Torres Patagonia

The first place prize is a stay for two people at the hotel located in the heart of the national park.

Torres del Paine, August 18, 2023: On the occasion of a new International Photography Day, the Las Torres Patagonia tourist complex, situated in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, has decided to inaugurate a new annual contest to showcase images of its visitors and provide new postcards of Patagonia and its surroundings.

“One Photo – One-Thousand Memories: The First Las Torres Patagonia Photography Contest, 2023” is the name given to the first edition of this competition, which invites individuals over eighteen-years-old, both from Chile and abroad, to share their best photographs from their visits to Torres del Paine. The first prize is a two-day, three-night stay for two people at the hotel.

How to participate? Those who wish to take part in this contest simply need to upload one or more photos to their Instagram account as public posts. The image must have been taken in Torres del Paine National Park, whether capturing Patagonian wildlife, the vibrant flora that spreads across the park, or simply a moment with the national park as the backdrop. This post must include the hashtag: #TorresdelPaineSnapshot2023, and you’ll be automatically entered.

You can submit your photographs between Saturday, August 19, starting at 00:01, and Friday, August 25 of this year until 23:59. A jury composed of Las Torres Patagonia’s communications and marketing team will select five finalists whose work will be showcased on Las Torres’s social media platforms on September 1, leading to the final selection of the winner.

“We are excited to provide this platform for photography enthusiasts to share their appreciation for the natural beauty of Torres del Paine,” mentioned the Sales & Marketing Director of Las Torres Patagonia, Juan López. He added, “Nowadays, technology allows each of us to be a portraitist of the wonders we can find in Torres del Paine, whether you have a professional camera or a cellphone. Everyone can participate in this contest.”

Anticipating a broad turnout for this contest, the marketing department of Las Torres Patagonia hopes to turn this milestone into an annual event to celebrate International Photography Day, gathering new and innovative perspectives of the national park each year.
