German Citizen Wins the First Photography Contest of Las Torres Patagonia

The competition successfully concluded with participation from over 500 contestants from around the world.

Las Torres del Paine, September 8, 2023 – This week marked a new milestone for Las Torres Patagonia with the crowning of the winner of the first edition of the photography contest “One Photo – A Thousand Memories.” This event was part of the celebration of World Photography Day, and travel blogger Daniel Tischer (@SouthTraveler) was the proud winner of the competition, which drew more than 500 participants worldwide.

Daniel Tischer is a German photographer dedicated to travel blogging, leaving his mark by capturing various landscapes in Latin America. His portfolio is filled with images from Guatemala, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile, which he has visited on various occasions to capture the beautiful sights of San Pedro de Atacama and Torres del Paine National Park.

“You’ll rarely find me without a camera because photos are more than just memories to me. Searching for moods, atmospheres, and new subjects is one of the most beautiful aspects of traveling,” Tischer commented on his motivations for dedicating his life to photography.

Tischer, born in Wiesbaden, Germany, will enjoy this year’s grand prize: a 3-day, 2-night stay for two people at Las Torres Patagonia. We hope with his upcoming visit, he can add new photos of Patagonia to his social media and portfolio.

“Congratulations to Daniel for your outstanding work that crowned you as the grand winner of ‘One Photo – A Thousand Memories 2023.’ Likewise, on behalf of the entire Las Torres Patagonia team. We also want to thank each participant and invite them to join in all our wonderful events here,” said Juan López, Commercial Manager of Las Torres Patagonia.

With this prize, the first edition of the Las Torres Patagonia photography contest concludes. This event united professional and amateur photographers worldwide with a shared love for Torres del Paine National Park.
